Stanley SuHi. My present position is Distinguished Professor Emeritus and Adjunct Professor of the Department of the Computer and Information Science and Engineering. My main responsibilities are research and student supervision. I am an IEEE Fellow. I was the Director of the Database Systems Research and Development Center, during 1977-2005 and Distinguished Professor with the Computer and Information Sciences and Engineering Department and the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department since 2001. I received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the Computer Science Department, University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin in 1968.
My research areas are database and knowledge base management, distributed and parallel computing, collaborative systems, Web services, semantic modeling, E-government, E-business and E-learning.
